Avoriaz mountain resort offers several marked, groomed and safe ski touring itineraries. Outside these itineraries, ski touring is forbidden on the ski area.

Opening

Ski touring routes are accessible from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, according to their opening conditions.

These conditions are available :

It is strictly forbidden to use the routes during avalanche control operations.

In the event of closure, respect the markings.

Security

Equipment

  • Properly adjusted ski touring equipment is essential (skis / bindings / ski touring boots + skins).
  • An avalanche beacon, shovel and probe are recommended.
  • You’ll also need clothing suitable for physical exertion outdoors and in the mountains.

Itineraries uses

You must be proficient in alpine skiing techniques to ski back down to your starting point on the pistes (it is forbidden to ski back down against the itinerary).
You are responsible for your own use of the routes: you must be covered by insurance to recover any rescue costs, if necessary.

Signposting

Respect the information, signs and markings provided.

Emergency

During opening hours, contact the piste service on +33 (0)4 50 74 11.13.

Outside these times, dial the emergency number 112.

Protect the environment

Don’t leave any rubbish in your path.
Nature is also a habitat for wildlife, so respect its tranquillity.

4 itineraries are propsoed on Avoriaz mountain resort:

  • Les Crêtes de Zore

   Easy/ Vertical drop = 290m / Estimated time= 1h00

  • Le Vanné

   Facile / Vertical drop = 300m / Estimated time = 0h45

  • Les Jordières

   Facile / Vertical drop = 200m / Estimated time = 1h30

  • La Montée de la Becque

   Assez difficile / Vertical drop = 590m / Estimated time = 0h30
